What is included in the price?
Sundorne Bouncy Castles has earned the trust of its customers for providing a cost-effective, reliable and professional service to Bedford and the surrounding towns and villages for 20 years. We like to be up-front and transparent with our pricing and our live booking system is able to give you an instant price. What you see is what you pay, with no hidden-extras waiting to surprise you!
The price given is for the item you have chosen, all of the ancillary components required for its safe operation and use (safety crash mats, blower, cables, cable protectors etc). The price given will also show a delivery charge (if applicable). Our standard hire period is for up to 7 hours, after which you pay by the hour - the website will calculate this for you. Our standard 7 hour hire is for a hire period up to 7pm, after which a late-night collection fee is due - the website will calculate this for you.
Health & Safety:
Health & Safety is our number one priority and will always come before profit or fun.
All of our bouncy castles and inflatables are tested to the highest standards as set out by the HSE and are tested through recognised HSE schemes. We use the PIPA test scheme who test all bouncy castles to the required standard (BS EN 14960). The PIPA test scheme links in with our website, allowing you to easily view and download all of our certificates. These are often requested by venues.
Here at Sundorne Bouncy Castles, we have public liability insurance up to £5million. This is the level requested by most schools and local authorities. In addition, all of our electrical equipment is visually inspected upon every hire and tested annually by a qualified PAT tester (Portable Appliance Testing).
All of our staff are fully trained in the safe erection and use of all of our inflatables. After equipment has been setup, they will give a full brief on how to safely use the equipment when it's left in your care. Staff will complete a visual risk assessment upon arrival to ensure they can safely deliver equipment and to make sure the site where the equipment is to be setup is suitable and safe. We are also able to provide written Risk Assessments, which can be viewed/downloaded here.

Staffing Requirements:
Typically, when you book a Bouncy Castle, assault course or Soft Play with us, we will deliver this to your venue, set it up and leave it with you. We will then return at your chosen collection time to collect all of the equipment. We do not usually provide staffing to stay with the equipment, other than for items which have to be manned by ourselves, such as our Rodeo Bull and Surf Simulators.
If we are leaving equipment with you, then returning later to collect, the equipment must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult (18+). If you are not able to supervise the equipment, we may be able to assist (subject to availability) in providing staff for an additional fee. If hiring staff it is important to note that they are there to supervise the safe operation of the equipment and not to supervise the children.
Power Requirements:
We will provide all of the necessary electrical cabling and plugs to connect our equipment to your power supply.
A standard inflatable, slide, assault course will require a 240v mains electrical supply (standard household socket). This power point must be within 25m of the area where the bouncy castle will be setup - remember that typically the blower is at the rear of the castle and therefore normally the furthest point away from a property.
If hiring an assault course then these often require more than 1x blower. One blower per section, therefore a 2-part assault course requires 2x sockets, a 3-part assault course requires 3-sockets.
Whilst we will plug into your sockets, we will not use your own extension leads. Please do not feel obliged to lay a cable out for us as we will use our own.
If you are unable to provide access to a power point within 25m then we are able to supply either a petrol blower or generator. These are available at an additional cost and you should speak with us to discuss your requirements prior to booking, so that we can best advise what is required.
For Large Events:
We are no strangers to supplying inflatables for large events such as village fetes, school parties, fun days and corporate events. As such, we are able to supply events with a number of inflatables at once and even have some pre-built packages with some of our most commonly hired together items.
If you are looking to book a number of inflatables for a large event then we recommend talking with us to discuss your requirements. We are happy to tailor a package to suit your needs.
Optional Extras:
We have a great selection of optional extras which are always very popular with customers and their guests!
Some of our most popular add-ons include didicars (indoor hires only), our range of garden games (connect-4, jenga, snakes & Ladders) and edible favourites such as candy-floss or popcorn.
Many of our bouncy castles are available to be upgraded to include a bluetooth speaker and disco light. The speaker is typically stand-alone and setup besides a castle, although some castles can house a speaker internally. The disco light is fitted into a special pouch suspended from the roof of the bouncy castle to give a disco effect in the jumping area. The cost of a disco upgrade is £30. Please contact us prior to booking to check if your preferred castle is compatible with a disco system.
We are able to offer overnight hire on a number of our castles. Overnight hire is available for £40. Overnight hire would mean your castle is picked up the following morning and does not get you a second day of hire. Inflatable overnight hire is only available if the castle is situated in a safe and secure location and surrounded by fencing and padlocked gate.
Our typical hire is for 7 hours and up until a last collection of 7pm. If you require a collection after 7pm we are able to offer late collections for an additional fee. This is detailed as part of the booking process.
