Terms and Conditions of Hire
If the Hirer is in any doubt as to the meaning of the following, a representative from Sundorne Bouncy Castles should immediately be consulted.
1.0 RESPONSIBILITY
The Hirer will, during the period of the hiring, be responsible for the supervision of the equipment, its care, safety from damage however slight of any sort, and the behaviour of all persons of all ages using the equipment whatever their capacity. The Hirer agrees to make good financially any damage done to the equipment by themselves or their guests whilst on hire. The Hirer shall not use the equipment for any purpose other than that described, and shall not sub-hire or use the equipment or allow the equipment to be used for any unlawful purpose or in any unlawful way. Sundorne Bouncy Castles take no responsibility for underground pipes or cables.
2.0 INSPECTION
The Hirer shall be deemed to have inspected the equipment (and accessories if supplied) and to have agreed that it is supplied in good condition unless he/she brings to the attention of Sundorne Bouncy Castles, when it is set up and checked by the Hirer when coming in to possession of the equipment any faults noted by the Hirer.
3.0 THE HIRE PERIOD
Unless otherwise agreed, the hire period is from actual delivery time until the collection time as specified or after at the discretion of Sundorne Bouncy Castles. Any obstruction by the Hirer or their guests causing unnecessary delay will be charged at £35 per hour or part of. This also applies where ballpit/ballpool balls are not bagged by the Hirer and ready for collection.
4.0 MAXIMUM AGE
Inflatable hire for children is defined as 'persons up to and including the age of 13 years'. Inflatable hire for adults is defined as 'persons of 14 years and over'. Should an adult use an inflatable hired for children, the insurance held by Sundorne Bouncy Castles will become invalid, transferring all liability to the Hirer.
5.0 PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE
PLI is excluded in its entirety following any claim or injury to any third party or employee whether directly or indirectly related to the use of drugs and/or alcohol. Sundorne Bouncy Castles excludes any liability for injury or damage caused to any person using the equipment contrary to the terms and conditions of this contract.
6.0 SUPERVISION
A responsible adult must supervise the inflatable at all times. On no account should any person under the influence of alcohol or drugs, etc be allowed either on the inflatable or allowed to supervise the equipment.
7.0 OVERCROWDING/SAFETY
Ensure that the inflatable is not overcrowded. Limit the numbers depending on age and size of children/adults using it. Use by large children/adults and small children/adults simultaneously must be avoided. Rough or boisterous play should be stopped immediately, somersaults are not allowed due to the increased risk of injury. Climbing, hanging or sitting on the walls/roof is Dangerous and is not allowed. Be aware that some children/adults require strict supervision. We recommend that no-one with a history of back or neck problems are allowed on the inflatable.
8.0 THE EQUIPMENT
Inflatables should have a clear space of 6ft (1.80m) all the way around for safety. Only Sundorne Bouncy Castles staff may move the equipment. Users are not allowed on the equipment during inflation or deflation. Children should not be allowed to play at the rear of the inflatable or with the blower unit or electrical cables.
9.0 ELECTRICS
Should the inflatable not be used for any part of the day, switch the blower off at the mains. Ensure that the vent on the side of the blower is kept clear at all times.
10.0 INCLEMENT WEATHER
Some units are supplied with Shower Covers for light rainfall. In the event of heavy rain or high winds, it is unlikely that delivery of the equipment will proceed for safety. If the unit has already been placed, it is strongly recommended that the inflatable be switched off. We also recommend a small picnic table be placed over the blower to help prevent rain-water being sucked into the blower, and then into the inflatable. Before play recommences, any wetness, including bubbling, can be dried with a towel.
11.0 MISCELLANEOUS
The following items are NOT allowed on/near the inflatables:
a) Food and drink to avoid choking and mess.
b) Shoes, toys, badges, jewellery, watches, key-rings, metal studded clothing or any other similar objects which could cause damage to others or the equipment. It is also recommended that spectacles be removed.
c) Party poppers, silly string, coloured streamers, face paints, etc - these permanently stain the material and the Hirer will be liable to compensate Sundorne Bouncy Castles in the event of damage.
d) Animals
e) Smoking
f) Hosepipes/deliberate water play
12.0 IMPORTANT NOTICE
Provided that the equipment is used in accordance with the above guidelines and conditions of hire, those using the inflatable should do so safely. However, accidents can happen. Sundorne Bouncy Castles Hire can accept no liability for injuries sustained or any other loss, howsoever caused, in the absence of the negligence of Sundorne Bouncy Castles or its employees. As the equipment will be in the Hirers possession and control whilst in use rather than Sundorne Bouncy Castles, any liability for injuries or other losses caused other than in the circumstances described above rests with the Hirer. Accordingly, it is strongly recommended that the Hirer has adequate public liability insurance covering his or her liability arising from the use of the inflatable/equipment.
